Accountability August
Zinke, Daines, and Sheehy are home after ramming through the MAGA Murder Bill—yanking health care and school meals from millions so their billionaire patrons can pocket even bigger tax giveaways.
While they hide in their districts, we’ll bird-dog their ribbon cuttings, light up their phone lines, and plaster every corner with the truth: your vote hurt our families, and you must answer for it.
Follow the link below for a list of tactics to hold them accountable.
The Montana Plan: Educational Town Hall
Fifteen years ago, the Supreme Court’s Citizens United ruling opened the floodgates for corporations and billionaire-backed groups to drown our democracy in dark money. This fall, Montanans are fighting back.
Join us Monday, September 8th from 5–7:00 p.m. for a public forum on The Montana Plan — a first-in-the-nation constitutional amendment strategy to kick corporate and dark money out of Montana politics for good. This forum will spotlight Montana’s long resistance to corporate rule and how we can once again lead the nation in restoring power to the people. Let’s make Citizens United irrelevant — starting right here, community by community.
Grizzlies Fight Back: Rally
Authoritarians are counting on our silence. On our fear. On our surrender. But we’re here to say: we will not cave — and neither should the institutions that claim to serve us. Rally with us on September 14th at the University Oval.
This rally is about putting our values into action. It’s a call for students, faculty, workers, and neighbors to rise up and to demand that our community institutions stop propping up a regime that’s attacking our futures.
Youth v. Trump
On May 29th, a group of courageous young Americans (many from Montana) filed a critical constitutional lawsuit against the Trump administration, challenging a series of executive orders under the “Unleash Fossil Fuels” directive, which accelerates fossil fuel expansion and suppresses climate science.
They are now preparing for a two-day hearing at the Missoula Courthouse. Join us on September 16 & 17 from 7:15-9:00am outside the courthouse for a peaceful rally to cheer on the brave youth plaintiffs as they walk into history, standing up for their rights to life and liberty!
Last Tuesday of the month, 4:30 at the Missoula Library
