Silencing Kimmel Is Just the Beginning
The MAGA regime is tightening its grip — not just on government, but on every institution that once claimed to stand for freedom.
Over the past year, Trump and his billionaire cronies have been working overtime to crush dissent. They’ve bent media giants, universities, and corporations to their will — all to build a regime of the bullies, for the billionaires.
Now they’re coming for comedians.
In December, ABC/Disney paid off Trump with a $15 million settlement instead of defending freedom of the press. By July, CBS axed Stephen Colbert. Days later, Trump threatened Jimmy Kimmel — and just weeks after that, the FCC greenlit major corporate mergers that conveniently benefited the companies that silenced Trump’s critics.
Then came the tipping point: after Kimmel spoke the truth about Trump weaponizing Charlie Kirk’s death, the FCC Chair publicly threatened to pull his show off the air. Within hours, multiple media companies complied. That night, ABC/Disney canceled Kimmel altogether.
This isn’t about one comedian. It’s about our freedom to speak, to dissent, to laugh in the face of power. If we let Trump silence satire, what’s next? The news? Our books? Our voices?
Appeasing a tyrant doesn’t buy peace — it invites more tyranny.
We must call this what it is: a full-blown assault on our freedom to dissent. And we must fight back like our futures depend on it. Because they do.

Email Zinke to demand an investigation into government censorship. Carr’s threats may violate the First Amendment and other federal law, but an attempt to subpoena Carr is being blocked. Let’s turn the heat up to demand that Carr, ABC/Disney execs, and their partners be hauled before Congress to testify under oath.
